Calkain Companies began with the simple understanding that it would provide the best brokerage services throughout the net lease investment industry.
	With the vision of taking his 20+ years of brokerage experience under his own banner, Jonathan Hipp imagined an institution that was unparalleled to any other firm. Since opening its first office in Reston, VA (a Washington, DC suburb), Calkain has not only expanded to four locations, but its headquarters office has moved to a more spacious suite as well. The size of the Calkain Team has also grown accordingly. Now ranked as one of the top Net Lease Investment Brokerage firms (Commercial Property News 2005 and 2006, 2007 ), Calkain has watched its clientele grow exponentially by staying
true to its fundamentals; integrity, honesty, and innovation. In 2005, the ever-expanding marketplace for commercial investment real estate allowed Calkain to divide its services into two divisions; Calkain Realty Advisors and Calkain Institutional Advisors, each providing tailored services that exceed client expectations. By housing a large inventory of income producing properties for both private market and institutional investors, Calkain is able to accommodate most investors’ criterion. In November 2006, Calkain designed the ultimate real estate evaluation tool, Calkain Site Services. This new division utilizes trained industry professionals to examine commercial investment property nationwide, providing clients with an in-depth review of all characteristics of any given property and its surrounding market. Calkain has developed a culture that is very much evident, helping to attract and retain the best employees and clients.
