CALKAIN COMPANIES BROKERS 160,000 SQUARE FOOT
STATE OF FLORIDA INDUSTRIAL PORTFOLIO

NET LEASE FIRM SECURES ITS POSITION IN THE SOUTHEAST MARKET

Tampa, FL - Calkain Companies, a national real estate investment brokerage firm, has procured the sale of a 160,000 square foot industrial portfolio occupied by the State of Florida. The unique transaction, which is located in Tallahassee, FL, houses six buildings for various State of Florida entities. Calkain Institutional Advisors, the firm’s institutional brokerage division, handled the marketing and sale of the transaction.

Jonathan Hipp, President of Calkain Companies, along with Joel Kahn, Managing Director, and Brett Pagani, Associate, represented the seller in the transaction. The seller, Capital Circle Commerce Park, LLC, explained that details of the transaction must remain confidential due to the tenancy of the asset.

However, the six buildings are located on 60 acres and offered the investor the opportunity to develop a significant portion of additional square footage for future use. “Calkain was able to find a buyer looking for a considerable amount of future value while capturing the asset’s current income stream,” Kahn explained.

“The complex transaction demanded a multifaceted approach that we were able to evaluate and ultimately simplify for the buyer,” Kahn continued. “We feel that both the buyer and seller prevailed.”

Calkain is a full service commercial real estate brokerage firm with a national scope focusing on single and multi tenant retail, industrial, and office net leased transactions. Calkain has offices in Reston, VA (Washington, DC suburb), Nashua, NH (Boston, MA suburb), Tampa, FL and McHenry, MD. Additional information about the firm and its staff may be found at www.calkain.com.
