January 10, 2008 CALKAIN COMPANIES DONATES EMERGENCY RESCUE VEHICLE TO NATIONAL HUMANE SOCIETY Tampa, FL - Calkain Companies, Inc., in conjunction with the Hipp Family Foundation, recently made a significant contribution to the National Humane Society in Tampa, Florida. The donated funds were specifically allocated to purchase a new van that is outfitted with state of the art emergency medical equipment. The van is currently being used to provide mobile veterinary health services locally and is ready to be deployed in the event of a national disaster. Jonathan Hipp, President and CEO of Calkain Companies, Inc., is also the founder of the Hipp Family Foundation. In recognizing his own non-monetary fortune, Mr. Hipp wanted to give back to communities nationwide, and has pledged a percentage of all Calkain profits to the Hipp Family Foundation to do so. Shortly after Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast states, Mr. Hipp met with Carol Childs, the President of the National Humane Society in Tampa, Florida.
