Reston, VA – Jonathan W. Hipp, president and chief executive officer with Calkain Companies Inc. in Reston, Va., has been appointed to the Investment Management I Forum of NAIOP National Forums, according to 2011 National Forums Chair Ralph Heins, of Primera Companies Inc., Dallas, Texas.
 As a member of the Investment Management I Forum, Hipp will participate in bi-annual meetings comprised of talented industry professionals. The Forum meetings provide a platform for members to develop long lasting relationships with commercial real estate colleagues while sharing their interests and expertise in specific topic areas. These topic areas typically include, but are not limited to, the identification of trends and an assessment of their likely outcome; opportunities and how to harness them; problems and proposed solutions; and the impact of environmental factors in commercial real estate. In addition, Forum members present and examine case studies and discuss market conditions impacting their fellow members and organizations across the county.
The Investment Management Forums are limited to principal members actively involved as owners, developers or investors in investment properties and related real estate acquisitions and disposition transactions, including representatives of financial institutions, insurance companies, pension funds, public employee retirement systems and private investment groups.
NAIOP developed National Forums to provide exclusive networking and experience exchange for senior-level NAIOP members with 10 or more years of industry experience. Members are appointed for a three-year term that may be renewed. A Forum atmosphere is one of trust and confidentiality. Each Forum is comprised of approximately 20 individuals, which provides an optimum platform for dynamic discussion and debate among the participants.
